I mentioned in the last post that David was having some tests. Well unfortunately, the results were not what we would have hoped for. It would appear that the previous chemo and radiation did not have the desired effect. A good number of lesions still exist. As you can probably imagine, this news comes hard and is tough to take. David is coping as well as can be expected.
David was able to attend a work convention at the end of this past week which enabled him to consult with many people in the field. From this, N&D feel like they have a decent plan for moving forward. David will be going in for a consult on Monday as well as another MRI. On Tuesday, the plan is to treat 3-4 more lesions with stereotactic radiation. This is an outpatient type procedure.
Sorry that it has taken so long to post this update. It has taken a while to come to grips with what this new information meant and what the treatment plans were going to be.
