First Tooth!

Well, the 2 munchkins almost kept me from yanking Ethan’s first tooth the other night. I made an attempt to pull it but it didn’t feel like it was quite ready, so I told Ethan we would wait a couple of days and try again. Anyway, I was working on some wiring and failed to notice the complete silence that developed in the background. Our chief dentist/chicken master (Emma) was fast at work wrenching out poor Ethan’s tooth. Ethan walked into the room about an hour later with a nice bloody tissue and his tooth (still attached) hanging out of his mouth. I couldn’t help but laugh and he didn’t seem to mind at all. So although I did have the honor of the final pull, all credit must go to Emma on this one. She’s fearless!

As for me, I’m doing great. I will complete chemotherapy in a few more days and being several days outside of radiation has made a huge difference. I have had follow-up appointments at MD Anderson and the next big dates will be 11/19 for CT scans on the back (which by the way is getting very strong) and, most importantly, new MRIs will be scanned on 12/3! These are the important ones as they will determine our next course of action!

Keep praying, have faith, and we'll beat this thing together, David

  3. Hello David,

    Roger Smith here.

Good to hear news of you and your family. All of you are always in our prayers.

I have been unemployed for a month but have been fortunate enough to find a good job at a tough time.

So I had a month of vacation during hunting season here in Arkansas.

    It was nice.

God Bless and hope to hear from you.

    Roger
