All went very well. He has just been delivered back to ICU where he will stay for 24hrs.
The prediction is 5-10 days recovery in the hospital for this surgery with a number of months of p. therapy to follow. They will have him up and moving starting tomorrow.
Lastly, he only has to wear his "turtle shell" while up... Which is going to make him very happy.

Praise God! We are so happy to see positive news over the past few days. Gareth, thanks so much for keeping us all posted. I know David will feel better on so many levels once he gets past this little hurdle (with little to no turtle time). We continue praying for complete healing in Christ's holy name!
